Apart from anything else, I think it's wise to remember that humour is a psychological safety valve. Nothing will buld up tension and ill-feeling - or sap the life from a community - like the pretence that all is well and every view is peerlessly right.

Perhaps the point that you missed was that someone who was most definately NOT Sean Reid decided to start a troll thread against the very simple rules of the forum. It started to attract flames. The first post being what it was, was deleted. If the first post in a thread is deleted, the whole thread is deleted. It had nothing to do with humour or views but the fact that one member was trying to pass his comments off as someone else.

It's not because of the old news, as you might know there is quite a bit of history behind Mr. reid. and the M8 .... but I don't want to go into that .... like said ist passed, but there are people who from now on will make (satirical) comments on whatever he posts, and quite rightfully so I might add., but so much about that ....
