I've been offered a Minolta CLE body for $450-500 US. It's currently being CLA'd by DAG, and while the body definitely looks used (some wear and marks), it's not abused. DAG reports that the meter and shutter are 'spot-on' and he's cleaning the VF.
Is this a reasonable price?
Also, has anybody been able to compare the CLE to the R2/3A? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
(And apologies for posting in the Leica forum - it seems the best place).

That price sounds about right. I've usually seen/bought them in the $600~$700 range—with a 40 Rokkor and/or 'cron, so figuring about $300 for either lens (based one popular price guide), that's sounds good. I can't compare to the R#A's; I have an R2. BTW, where is DAG? I'd like to have some work done on one of my CLE bodies?

Thanks, Ray!
I found this information on photo.net:
Don "DAG" Goldberg (dagcam@chorus.net).
Not sure where he is. Somewhere in the US of A, I believe.

actually just had a CLA on a CL done by him this week. i should be getting it back today or tomorrow. he was very helpful and friendly, had a very quick turnaround, and has good rates. as for the quality of his work...i'll have to wait and see, but based on what everyone says...it's top rate!
