recommend a painter

I'm looking to purchase a canon P rangefinder and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good person to paint it black? i can't afford to shell out the big bucks for an original black body....

i had a leica m3 that i sent out to get painted black a couple of years ago, but that guy passed away. now i don't know who to use. btw, my leica m3 (painted black) with the black goggles attached looked pretty cool. 🙂

Shintaro Yaginuma is the name that most people know.. pricey, but often considered the master

well, I'm planning to repaint the wheels on my Audi over the winter, so I'll be buying all the necessary equipment soon.. let me know if you want me to paint your Canon.. you'll have to do the disassembly and reassembly, tho

you're in wisconsin...i know your motives...you want to secretly paint the camera green and gold! 😛

we really need to hook up sometime and shoot together. perhaps you could teach me some things in your darkroom, since im planning to build one soon.

I don't know the first thing about darkrooms (other than they're supposed to be dark).. I've never ventured into that foray, altho it's on my list of things to do soon.. but I agree that we ought to get together for a photo safari.. maybe we could get William involved, too.. I'm not sure who else is in the Milwaukee/Madison area

Shintaro will paint a Canon P; the cost is going to be in the $600~$700 range and have a several month turn-around. He does not paint the Canon bottom-loaders or Canon 7.
