i'm looking the lightest and compact rf body with either m or screw mount....
main lens use is 35mm.... meant for daily shoot....
pls recommend...

cheers.......

Contax...

Contax...

glass quality second to none, really cheap to get...i.e. Contax G1/G2 with a Biogon 2.8/28 or a Planar 2/45... just excellent!!! and you can get an outfit at half the price in respect to any other solution and you will posses the finest optics around...
have fun.
cheers...

The Ikon for what it is with it's amazing viewfinder is fairly light and the camera is well made.

I had a CL for a while and that was very small and light but the meter is a pain and gives too much trouble and I gather that the CLE as good as it may be is history once it's electronics quit!

bessa t & r are very light - r3a close. g1/g2 are heavy in comparison - but optics are excellent! Of course, there are the fixed lens manual rfs - canonet ql / 28 which are superb too and as light if not lighter. My bet... Bessa T and a lens of your choice!

The CL is certainly compact, but I get the impression not everybody gets along with them. I held a Rollei not long ago and found it to feel extremely nice; good ergonomics and light. I'm sure the Bessas are just the same.

For a fixed length RF, I suspect you'd not get much more compact (or quieter) than a ContaxT. And it does have an excellent Zeiss lens.

Bessa R3A w/ the VC 35 2.5. You get 1to1 viewfinder, M mount, AE, no bigger than an R, and only a little bit heavier. I have a CL that is tiny also, and for a fixed lens a Konica C35 is very small and has a sharp Hexanon 35 2.8 lens.

CLE, no doubt. With a compact 35mm, perfect. The framelines are 40mm, just frame a little wider.

Sounds like a question best answered by a comparison of spec. sheets, but without spec sheets in hand, I have to agree with Rob, the CLE is hard to beat for a light, compact M-mount camera. I recommend the CLE combined with the CV 28/3.5 and a Rokkor or 'Cron 40/2.
