I started a new Group on Flickr called "Red Oktober", a repository of any photo taken with FSU gear in the month of October.
It's now open at https://www.flickr.com/groups/octfsu/

What's "FSU"?
Hi,
It saves having to type "old" in front of "USSR" and adds a little more confusion to life and so on.

It also automatically provides much fodder for discussion almost at the level of digital versus film. Identifying a camera by name doesn't generate near the religious fever.

I have a Helios 44M-7 2.0/58mm and a Mir 24M 2.0/35mm lens on the way and they should check in before October has passed...
I'm game.

Yeah, remember an FSU lens can be mounted on any compatible or adapter equipped camera, film or digital. There are also some Nikon F mount FSU lenses.

The FPP Store claims their Svema film is fresh. I bought 3 rolls of the 200. I've shot one roll. The film is paper thin. i had a time getting it to spool. It developed & scanned good.

The only working FSU camera I have, Greg, is a Zenit TTL with Helios 44-M. Hopefully all this rain and cool temperatures will get the trees started on their color change soon.
