It's things like this that make me want to sell my Canon DSLR and just buy a Fuji X100S.

Thanks for the link, interesting read it was!
I'm considering buying into the XF system, to team up with my D700 kit. Love the D700, but I need more available light capabilities for events and congresses without adding too much flash into the equation... and the inconspicuousness is highly desirable too.
First, I'm working to fund my newly-acquired Hasselblad kit for portraiture though.

Well, his decision to go with Fuji is a bit flawed: "they seemed to best tap into the old Leica soul, and they have stunning lens quality at a price point much lower than Leica" is all he could find "after months of tracking the technology, and research into the systems that might best support their mirrorless technology offerings".
If you buy by emotion, don't rationalize.....

You see, for almost three years before the Fujis came along for me, 90% of my images were shot on—you guessed it—my iPhone.
In that case, why bother with Canon / Fuji / whatever at all?

I'm not about to sell my Canon DSLRs and L glass to get something smaller.
And I see zero connection with Leica and FujiFilm cameras.

"While the Canon was exciting (and I owned it), the Leica was something…special. It was love."

Small bodies, concentrating on great primes, quiet shutters, rangefinder-esque styling.

That and the optical viewfinders of the x100 and xpro1

He might have as well sold the Canon for a cannon. Real cameras use Tri X.

My XE1 and 14mm + 23mm are, in effect, my digital Leica M "system".
Oh, and unlike my old M4's and M6, and the current M's, I can actually see the full viewfinder image with my glasses on.
Styling is not an issue, but the finder on the far left is superior to the centered finders on SLRs.
