Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to cosmetically clean up an old Leica M--that is ,fix the chips in the silver areas, as there are many small marks. Will Leica repaint the camera?
Thanks

I'd like to suggest two places to repaint your camera -- both expensive -- and then add my own experience:

Some time ago I bought a Nicca camera on xbay with a tiny spot on the chrome top plate, which I discussed with a great Leica repairman, Dan Goldberg of DAG in Wisconsin, who told me the top plate was brass and that if I painted over it, it would not rust because the plate was brass. So I bought a can of aluminum spray paint and very carefully applied a tiny spec of aluminum paint with a Q-tip. You'd never know the spot was there...You might try that on just one tiny spot and see what happens...If you don't like it, you can just remove it... regards, bob
