Regarding the photography law

You "totally agree" then contradict what I said? .. you will have read this I imagine

I think the meaning of what I said was pretty clear, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I totally agree with you saying that one needs to defend their rights. Not what you said about asking law enforcement to "explain themselves" Again, this is as it applies to my country, and what I have experienced (the only thing I can apply it to)

I take very few things "laying down" but one has to pick their battles.... your comparison of this to the holocaust is kind of insulting.

EDIT: Perhaps you would have been better able to understand if I had referred to more than one of your posts: "I totally agree with you in post #39, however if you are suggesting that the methods in your post #37 are a means to that end, I do not agree"

Sorry, this isn't personal, I simply said one defends ones rights by defending them, and I believe that to be true.

If you are insulted by my reference to Martin Niemöller's text in reference to a state progressively abusing the rights of minorities then you have not understood it I feel.

Nothing about the quote insults me, save for your correlation of his ignoring the political climate in 1930's Germany with my wanting to use more effective means to assure one's rights (than arguing with cops)

I think, hope the disconnect is a cultural one. Our societies and their attitudes towards police are vastly different. George Bernard Shaw, yadda yadda. Time to walk the dog.

Thankfully I live in a country where that would be an abuse of office and would be classified and prosecuted as an aggravated assault ...

Thankfully I'll never be a police officer anywhere but the U.S.

favorite quote "you sooner you learn this, the longer you're gonna live in this world!" ;)

Fuzzman needs some Atkin's though, or at least to do 100 crunches every morning.
