Mablesound, Dum question time. Does the Griptac feel somewhat like rubberized coating or more like sandpaper ?

The former. Very grippy, but not sticky-feeling, like the R-D1. It's quite miraculous really!

It is isn't it? When 3M originally came out with it, it was used on the handles of golf clubs, since then its use seems to have increased exponentially. It looks a little industrial but it transforms your handling of the camera. Wonderful stuff!
