relubing a Hexanon 28

Under Don's advice, what I did meanwhile was to add a few drops of oil to lighten up the grease. It works so far and the movement is easier so far.

What kind of oil did you use/did Don advice you to use? Aren't you afraid that some of it might end up on the aperture blades?

I am asking as I could use a smoother focus on my VC Color Skopar 35/2.5.

I used a light Teflon oil, nothing special (its for bikes as I recall)
Well, I hope It won't arrive on the blades too soon, but I can't be sure.
the idea is that it "dilutes" the grease and doesn't stay on its own in the helicoids. That's for theory. In practice....

I am convinced that the bettter way to go is to open the lens, clean the old lubricant and replace with lighter grease.
