Reminder: Dwayne’s Stops Processing Kodachrome 12/2010

Although I am back to film in a big way, I have never shot Kodachrome.

All things must end, but weren't there some fools, I mean entrepreneuring businessmen who resurrected Polaroid (The impossible project)?

I know the reasons why it will never happen, but hey, it would be nice wouldn't it?

I have four rolls of K64 and have been waiting to think of a suitable project... guess it's time to stop waiting and thinking and just go have some fun.

Those who have old rolls of Kodachrome Standard 8, the ancient dual-run cine format, lying around should also be aware of the processing cut-off (Dwaynes have assured me by email that they can process the stuff).

Otherwise, I have just four rolls of 35mm K64 left. I think I'll put the very last one through my dad's old M5.

I'm sending off four rolls of Kodachrome Super 8. And I might just buy up what's available locally and make one last magical movie of the children.

I've about 3 dozen rolls of Kodachrome left. Mostly 64, but about 10 rolls of 25 and a roll of 200 are in the pile. I can likely shoot it all by the end of the year, but I've been giving some rolls away to people who've never used it. I'll miss it-- but I'm eager to try something new in 2011.

Why the heck would they stop early, unless the chemistry runs out?
If available it's more likely they will extend, for procrastinators like me...

Chris
