Remote Cable Release for Leica M3?

Is there such a thing as a non-wired remote shutter release for older cameras such as the Leica M3?

Once upon a time but few and real far between.
Haven't seen one since the late 70's.
FWIW though it may be possible to trip a solenoid with the remote? I guess it would depend on the power needed to physically depress the release.

The solenoid would also need a separate battery & would be bulky, but not necessarily heavy.
