Repainting a Conatx IIa

I've decided that I want to have my Contax IIa repainted black. Anyone know a shop that can do it?

I emailed the usual suspects (Shintaro & Peter at CRR Luton) but no response. Peter's email bounced.

I don't mind paying for good quality but with Shintaro's slowness of late I thought I'd try to find someone else who has better turn around.

To contact Peter, you need to phone or use snailmail - he never bothers with email. Kim Coxon will be able to give you a first-hand comment on his experience of having a M3 repainted by CRR.

Don't know anything about Shintaro, other than i have heard that 12 months+ is now the norm for a repaint (ouch!).

Youxin Ye may also offer this service, but you would have to contact him to make sure.

Youxin does not offer painting. Peter does not reply to faxed inquiries either. Not sure why he has a fax number and an email address.

I did get a reply from Shintaro. He can paint the Contax IIa. I'll send it to him in Jan when I'm back in the USA on R&R.
