Repair info for Pentax 50mm F1.2 lens

Flame me if you will but this is an SLR lens. I can't find much at all on t'internet, has anyone seen anything? It has a problem with the aperture not working right, seems to fully open at f1.2 (blades only just hidden from view), looks right at f2.8, but by f11 the blades are fully closed, so the ring still turns up to f22 but no further constriction. Most odd, have been trying to check it out but can't see anything wrong. So, a long shot before I have to send it off, but anyone got anything please?

Well, this is a very nice lens - the one I have closes down to f22 with no problems - it looks like it has been opened and then reassembled incorrectly. I would stay away from such a fast lens if the copy is not perfect, as you could have problems with sharpness or de-centering.

You are in UK, but you might contact Eric Hendrickson to ask for a good repair man (or Woman) in UK. He has repaired one of my lenses, and it is working fine now.
