Repairing 21mm Hasselblad extension tube

Hi,

I recently acquired this tube, but it's broken (jammed) and I was wondering if I could try and repair it. The screws and this (flathead) are VERY thin. Thinner than any screwdriver I have. Is it worth it getting some screwdrivers and try and fix it or won't it be worth my while?

Here in the USA I've noticed that lately the older tubes are selling for very little money. If you can find another at a reasonable price I would just replace it and use the broken one to practice my repair skills. Years ago I bought a tube 21 from KEH for about $60 US, recently I have seen them for $20-$30 plus shipping.

There's only a rod from the body to the lens a spring and latch inside there.
I don't think you have anything to lose by taking a shot at it.

It's been a very long time since I fiddled with Hasselblad equipment, but the tubes were dead simple.
If you have a screwdriver the right width just file it down to fit. I use a sharpening stone and a little patience. If you don't have anything lying around, here in the US a set jewelers screwdrivers are pretty cheap at hardware stores. Not very high quality though.
