Replacement for APX-100

afaik, Rollei Retro is the same emulsion as Agfa APX.
some countries still have stock of Agfa. I was in Poland and noticed that APX is quite common in Krakow's photo stores, and put on sale with very low price. How stupid I was not to snatch a whole suitcase of it.
>I really like that shot sockeyed.
yes, shot is very good

I bought some bulk rolls form ultrafineonline, they have great prices. You better check there website, the price is different than from ebay.

I tried to shop from Ultrafine and it was one of the worst online experience I have ever had: just for your information, I just emailed Ultrafine for info requests (I intended to buy 2 Watson bulk loader and 2 rolls of Agfa APX 100), and I received the worst customer service in years of Internet purchase, from some guy whose rudeness is beyond belief. I assume Ultrafine doesn't need much business, and you can be sure they will not have mine. Here the last email I got from them:

My question:

Hello ***,

I was thinking about UPS as a shipping method - if you would send me a final quote using UPS, I will immediately send you the PayPal payment.

Is the Agfa expired, by the way?

Thanks, best

I could see that you really don't want to purchase anything.
I will not continue answering your questions one at a time, this is just a waste of time. So please on your next reply ask all you want, buy the film send the money or find some else that those have the time to waste. We are trying to give you the best price but obviously you just like to ask questions.

Beside the need for a quick course in English grammar, the guy is not the kind of salesman I would like to give my business to.

Be warned.

I find them quite good and so do many others .........the warning is totally unwarranted as it is a one off and most likely a bit of a misunderstanding

Oh well, it depends - if someone finds them good and wants to use them, good for them; to me the warning is very much warranted stating that the one off is, for me, the ONLY one experience I had with them and - again, as far as I am concerned - this is a non acceptable attitude from someone that wants my business. More, I don't see what the misunderstanding might be: you can read their own words, no interpretation necessary here.

As always, to each its own and, of course, YMMV. As far as I am concerned, they will not get my business and my money - ever.
