Replacing Canon system for Leica ME

I use my x-pro1 far more than my 5d mkIII and Im seriously considering selling the mk III. Its not really any better in any way...

i am glad you OP stated what you shoot!
That changes it dramatically.
The Leica Digital may be perfect.
The vertical format is the clue..
i almost only shoot verticals. The shape of you know what.
No camera comes close in exact focus in low light, as a Leica.
Carrying one or two lenses is more than OK.
My pushing the SLR or now DSLR, based on purely "huge" needs.
You are focussed on a simple type of shot.
Working with less means way more input and thought, from the OP.
Try where deadlines are flexible to use the M6 for everything.

Wow, a rangefinder forum and no one will champion the Leica as a true professional system! It is 99% Canon with a couple Nikon champions. I agree with most, I would not want to immediately dump my DSLR before I tried it out for awhile, but I would have believed that it was possible to do pro work with only the Leica M. Guess I was wrong.

Obviously all the Magnum photographers who shoot with Leica M cameras are just hobbyists... 😀
