Are there any RFF'ers out there in the greater NYC (between Boston and
Delaware) who might help kick my ass with a very critical portfolio review?
I went to the opening for Michael Kamber's gallery presentation for
Photojournalists on War: The Untold Stories from Iraq at 25CPW last
week and have been motivated to get back into more serious photography.
I kind of gave up after the burglary in March and haven't floated a
portfolio around in years. I feel like I'm going nowhere in photography
right now but that is my own doing, I admit.
I did the Iraq book with my journal entries and all that but I think it
needs a tighter edit and an appendix to clarify the terminology in the
journal. Regardless of that, I want to "close the book" so to speak, on
the book, create a good combat photography portfolio and a good
portfolio of work I've done since then. I'm hoping I can ask the advice
of some local RFF members for a sit-down.
I'd love to hear from RFF'ers who are farther away as well but of
course, we could only correspond via this crude medium of electrons, at
least at first.
Thank you all very much for the consideration and for the encouragement.
Sincerest regards,
Phil Forrest
