Resolution - film versus digital

decided on a Mamiya 7II and a bunch of lenses. Cheaper than the Hassy, comes with a meter (imagine that!) and shoots 6x7. Came very close to getting a Fuji RF but I didn't like the fixed lenses.

Can't wait to feed those negs through the V700!

Mamiya RZ is what I have started using along my Leica (and Nikon) gear. It just gives great files scanned!

I guess part of the reason I was thinking of this was that I like working with Ms so much better than any other gear I have used (which is most brands & makes).

Perhaps I will end up with a Mamiya 7, but since I posted this I have been more drawn towards getting rid of all the Nikon gear! And also to buy some 3200 ISO, one thing that has constantly bothered me with digital is the look you get with artificial light... Its often better technically than film, but it always NEVER look right for me!

I guess I will simply test some low grain B&W and 50 ISO colour, and leave it at that.

One thing I really want to do is to do some scenes with both M8 and M7 in tandem, to compare colour & contrast. Its all part of really getting to know the medium, after years of using Sensia I know what that gives me at least!

In a way this period for me is like the first part of the nineties which was when I really dug deep into photography... Its about learning all the details and exploring all possibilities. After doing that round I ended up with using only Ms with a 50mm, this time I feel that I will land on a more diversified approach.
