We are back up with a restore from 2 days ago on the post and threads table only.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Just think of it as RFF being closed for the weekend.
 
Bummer, lots of good stuff lost over the last 2 days.

But thanks for the maintenance to keep RFF going strong.

How about PM's sent in the last day but not picked up, are they still there or gone too?

An unknown number of files and threads were corrupted and missing.

The thread restore as of Aug 2 restored the missing threads, but we lost all posts between the restore and this morning.

Galleries, classifieds, and PM messages were not affected.

Was getting worried about this Restore that keep "things" online forever...
The inconvenient thread is gone...
See how good is digital! Never exist before! Vanished! No paper to track or shred!

No History, so, no learning! No trackable either....

Glad that RFF is back now.

Hey, Frank, I missed that one as I have been rather busy lately. Since it's apparently lost, can you summarize it in some fashion which perhaps will trigger further commentary?

Yesterday never happened. No evidence of yesterday at RFF exists (galleries, classifieds...details details) :D

Somehow it's Saturday afternoon all of the sudden...
 
The restore did not affect gallery or classifieds. It only affected threads and posts. And for the record, it's Tuesday afternoon right now.

Can this loss ever be compensated?
Could a free Bessa R2 or R3 or a CV lens make up such a terrible memory loss?

And where Joe decided to sell all his RF gear for a Canon DigiReb and a case of Molson... right?
 
molson is now owned by coors and they just closed down the brewery here in edmonton.
gotta love foreign investment...

even with the backup i am still content.
