Congrats, I'm 67 but bailed at 62 and didn't regret it. Now grandpa baby sitter occasionally and little more time to dink around with photo related stuff. Also some volunteer work and just generally relaxing. We live in Washington state but the wife's family is in BC, her dad lives on Hornby island. We head there in the off season to just totally chill for a week or so.

I'm 58 1/2 and counting down. Can't wait.

For me I'm OK with pedaling my bikes.

Any you guys in the Pacific Northwest fish?

Cal

Let us all know at what point in your retirement you utter the classic "I don't know how I could fit a job into my schedule" line.

An ideal retirement scenario, and I am quite jealous. I have been retired for 14 years at this point, and a nationwide motorcycle trip is still on my bucket list. Enjoy your trip, take pix along the way, get home to your family, plan the next trip and head on down the road again!
What are you riding? It's a nice looking scoot!

^ It's a bike I started building over a decade ago and got it on the road in '08 . Moto-Guzzi motor and trans from parts I accumulated on ebay over the years . Bought a few tools to make the frame building possible , then paint equipment and taught myself how to paint all the bits I'd welded together . Since put almost 40k kilometers on it , mostly from touring around this province , and I'm going to continue, not too interested in biking across Canada anymore ( did that in 1970 on a BSA Lightning ) ! Congratulations Peter, you've made it and it looks like you're having a great time. Wishing you safe riding and many happy times. Those roads and the scenery look fantastic.
