My Father's back home and doing better than I think before he went into the hospital, he has a new found "pep" about him and is feeling and looking better.

I'm not doing too bad myself, I'm starting to lose that weight and eating alot better foods. 🙂

I'm also trying to organize some new PinUp shoots soon, I really need to see some new faces in front of my camera again!

"Bars naturelles"

Per request, I really need to do more TEST shoots, with vintage lenses, just to have the outcome, to show other RFF'ers what the old lenses will do............

A portrait from the beautiful Tiffany Collins taken with my 1967 Canon f1.5/35mm wide-angle lens @ full bore open to f1.5 and snapped indoors with available lighting only at something like 30/sec and little to no post-processing, just some cropping. 🙂 ~ The portrait is soft and I think she moved slightly because she was throwing her long hair around, (or the DOF is like super minimal/ see her right eye) ~
But, I really liked her smile in this one. (her parents invested stupid $$$$$ in her dental work and it paid off beautifully!) 😀

The lens at full opening is soft, which is perfect for shooting close up styles like this, but when I want detail, the lens works really well, stopped down to f5.6, and renders really sharp photos, with or without flash, the f1.5/35mm is also compact and withstands flare well, I employ it alot for Black & White *nighttime* flash work and it works well this way on the M8 due to the crazy crop factor.........

"Girl With a Leica"

From a few weeks ago.....Sara Ray wearing a vintage late 40's/early 50's look.

Prop camera is a 1951 Leica IIIFBD with matching factory Summitar f2/50mm lens/yellow filter and a Leitz "Barndoor" lens hood and original camera case.
(shot "on location" at the Polk Community College)

Shot in a *faux crossprocessing/high color* look with my 1950 #50005 "Tokyo" Nikkor H.C. f1.4/50mm lens (at f1.4) IR Cut filter.

Here's another lens I don't use enough, it also gives out a "3-D" effect and a wild and very creamy Bokeh.

Well after many years away, I'm coming back to the RFF, not so much for shooting at the moment, but to start another camera collection and as always Leica, this time, a few WW2 ones and more CZJ M39 lenses, but also a look into the cool 1950's IIIF & IIIG cameras and accessories.

Traded the M8 for my old 1986 "Wetzlar" M6 & 1992 ver.4 f2/50 Summicron again, while I missed the sharpness of that lens so much, I've planned for future maybe a digital ME a Sony A7ii w/AF or maybe a M9P Black paint? While I plan on some more digital photoshoots sometime soon?

I really enjoy this kind of candid shot taken through a window. These shots have a certain Saul Leiter character to them. He is perhaps my favorite photographer. Examples of his work.
