Hi Rangefinder forum
I am new around here after having switched from my Canon 1Ds Mark II to the X-Pro1 thanks to many hours of reading on here! I am mainly using the X-Pro for everyday shooting and also for landscape. I kept my macro lenses on for the more hardcore insect macros.

I wrote up a review of the Really Right Stuff L-plate with grip since I could not find any good review information on the internet before my purchase. I am a long time user of their products for my old camera and all my lenses.

Anyway, without further adieu:
Review of RRS BPX1 for X-Pro1

I hope it helps other people make their decisions.

Apart from the handgrip it's similar to the one RRS designed for the NEX-7. Mine hasn't been off my camera.

Welcome! I enjoyed your site and galleries very much.

Do you find your fingernails dig into the camera's covering whilst holding the grip? My nails tend to dig into the bodies of cameras with an extended grip (as on a dslr), less so with a traditionally-shaped body.

I have one on my x100 which I bought after a friend of mine recommended it. It is a better design then the Fuji one for the xp1.

Welcome to forum.

Hi Larry, thanks for your very generous compliments. I am glad you enjoyed looking at my photos.

When the camera is being held in shooting position, my nails doesn't dig into the camera covering since I tend to hold it to allow more finger reach for my thumb to manipulate various things. However, when I am holding the camera casually, my nails does tend to bump into the covering.

The grip isn't as large as a pro-DSLR size, which I assume will be very intrusive on the X-Pro 1.
