got the case, but it is a pain to use with the strap for the fit with the original strap rings and the little leather protector that come on the strap. I removed them and threaded through some smaller triangle strap rings (that was an interesting 20 minutes... I have no qualms about the one knot design after that finger buster), all is much better. Can't wait for it to break in, feels like a solid design. Case is tight fitting, but not overly so.

Greetings from Kuala Lumpur. I ordered a Brown Zhou case for my M6 last week. The package arrived yesterday. Excellent packaging. Thumbs up. Will order another case for my IIIF.

Mudman, where did you get the triangular rings from? I have the same problem and would like to start using the case which I can't at the moment unless i don't use a neck strap.
Thanks

I cannibalized them off of an old minolta. You can order them from Nikon though I'm pretty sure.

i ordered a brown half case with cut out for thumbs up for my m9. overall the case and especially the leather feels great however there are some small problems (at least on mine).
1st. the strip of leather between the bottom of the thumbs up and lcd screen is too wide so instead of fitting nicely between the two, its resting slightly on top of the top of the lcd screen which is annoying and sometimes get in the way of the menu and play buttoms.
2. the leather on the right hand side of the scroll wheel does not leave enough space for the scroll wheel making scrolling using the right hand side of the wheel difficult
3. the leather has peeled off a little on bottom where the seams are joined together. its very small, and its on the inside of the seam so im not too fussed about it but nevertheless something i noticed.
i ve never used any other half case so cant compare but i am generally satisfied especially given the price compared to the competition.

I have a Mr. Zhou 1/2 case for both my M4P Leica and my Zeiss Ikon Z1.
I have a Leica 1/2 case on my M8.
The Leica case fits well on the M8 and is easy to put on and take off.
My Mr. Zhou cases on the other two cameras have a problem. The cases go on snugly and both are a bear to remove. Lucky that I am not a photojournalist that needs quick access to the film chamber because I would miss a lot of shots otherwise.
Mr. Zhou's cases deserve a thumbs up for quality and finish, but for quick access to either your film chamber or, on the M8/9, the battery and card, forget it. It is really a hassle.

I have a Zhou case for my M2, M4-P and my iiif. Very nice.
The extra grips for the thumb and middle finger are a nice touch on my M2 and M4-P, but on my iiif which is a little smaller, I find the grips make handling the camera quite a bit easier.
My F2 and F3 could use such a case with or without grips.

Bought one for my M6 and got another with my M4p as part of the deal......I don't see why one would pay more for any half case unless it was for a different design.

Case from Mr. Zhou for my leica has arrived today.
It is beautiful but not perfect: seams are not straight. And the case covers part of the camera's screen.
I want to know is it common problem for cases from Mr Zhou or my case is defective?

I got a Zhou's for my M6, it fits and feels great, but when I charge the shutter, the lever catches the case where it loops over the strap lug... does anyone else's do that? Is it something that just needs to be worn down? Or did mine just come with this small defect?
I think I just might get the grip for the M6, since thats what I have on my M8. RF's are tiny in my hands and I feel as if its always moments from slipping out.

it's great to see that the tread still pops up from time to time. I am a user from the prototype to the lastest model.
Glad that Zhou still focus the market under 100USD. For me, no point to buy an accessory too expensive.

I have a Mr Zhou case for my M2 (with the isa dial cut out on the rear!). Great case and I love the grips. I initially had an issue with the strap lugs sticking out due to the leather inserts (soft Voigtlander fabric strap) but have since bought a Leica strap which works fine with the case.

I use Mr Zhou's half case for the HEXAR RF since a few months. Its fits exactly my needs and can recommend it.

I have two cases - one for the M9 and the other for the MP which I bought direct through ebay. They are comfortable to use and give great protection. The price for the case was less than the cost of the camera strap! Well done Mr Zhou.
