Reviewed the superwide Canon EF11-24mm

Just finished my review of the superwide Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM. I think it's apt to say it's a heavyweight in every sense - from the weight to the quality of the images!

Do you think the lens is slightly soft along the left edge?

As for flare, it looks to behave very similarly to the TS-E 17. With it, flare is a greater concern when bright point light sources are outside the field of view, but shining on the front element. When there is flare, it tends to be very small spots, which are usually easily cloned out in post.

BTW, I really like the image of the floor with the diagonal lines and the shadows mixing in as well.

Thanks for your comments! The images on my screen looks just about as sharp on both sides. The lens does need to be stopped down to beyond f/5.6 for the best sharpness though.

I agree with your comment about the flare control being very similar to the TS-E17mm. I believe they are both using the same coating technology, which really works quite well.
