I have found a problem in the Bessa rewind knob in my Bessa 3M.
I though that it was the end of the roll, but finnally after processing I realized that there were some more pictures to get to the end of the roll.
This happened many times until I realized what was happening.
At the time of shooting I couldn´t pay too much attention to it, and simply reloaded a new roll, but decided to test it at home with a discarded film roll.
Here is what I have found:
Sometimes the rewind knob gets somehow stuck because the tiny moving parts gets slightly out of the cilindrcal shape, and they touch the camera body, stopping the film advance.
I find this very unconfortable, and assume it should be fixed in new camera bodies.

They are only 3 parts: The Rewind Knob body, and two folding pieces that are the rewind Crank (open in this image) The last mentioned pieces are the resposible for the accidental stop of film advance.

It happened to me once, but I knew that there was plenty of film left, un jammed it and carried on like before.

Your folding out lever may be a little gummy or something stopping it from flopping back to its resting place properly when bumped. The hinge looks like it unscrews, I suggest you clean it up so its loose and then just be mindful that it can happen.

I have just found this image in the Bessa Porn Thread, and can see that there is a 3rd rewind knob design.

I would be gratefull if bessa users with this kind of rewind knob could tell me if they suffer the same problem or not.

I have also a question for a Bessa Specialist (as Cameraquest) I wonder which is the last design.
