Australia/New Zealand RFF camera round Australia and NZ

Well I've just developed the roll of HP5 from the Fed and I appear to have thirty six exposures with even spacing and no signs of light leaks that I can see! :D

Are we posting the images here or is there going to be a separate thread for that?

I was hoping there might be a section of the Gallery, but don't know if that's possible. But a separate thread might be good. I can see this getting pretty long by the time its finished - are we expecting a year or so?

Ye of little faith ...

The rule, as I understand it, is that the beaten-up-looking FSU cameras (like this one) are the more reliable. It's the pristine ones that gave up the ghost as soon as they were bought, stored ever since and now sold by the grandkids.

And I was reassured by the soft release - someone had gone to the trouble of buying it an accessory.

I have one that is immaculate ... and the shutter caps at higher speeds so yes you're probably right. Though mine came from Oleg having been CLAd so it's probably something minor that I should fix because they are a very nice camera when everything works as it should.

Hey guys beeen very busy. Its porbably a good idea to have another thread for the images? im sure we will have a few photos. Not Sure where it should belong though. If its started let me know and ill change the first post in te topic to include the link.

Just updated the List. We now have 16 people with one from across the ditch. Im happy to include more people still as we progress but i will only be adding them to the end of the list now.

Ill keep crossing off the list as it makes it way around.

Keith, are the pics coming? Looking forward to see them, got all excited about the FED2, never had one, so the GAS is brewing, would be good to be able to practise a bit before hand.
Batey, no problem will send on to NZ.

so what films are people choosing/chose?

im going to try to go through a tmax and trix in a week then pass the camera on because of the schedule. depending on my shooting, i might try fit in a neopan

I used an old C41 B&W. I think variety will be part of the fun.

I've posted up the (same) photos in a new thread.

Keith. I expect to have some very blurry FP4+ pictures soon. I referred back to Scrambler's info post to see how to rewind the film last night and noticed that the camera had a diopter lever. That little lever makes a big difference. I have a roll of triX in the beast now.

I really like the aesthetic of your photos, Keith. I do recognise the metalwork from one of your "distorted" superwide shots: I think the I-61 is showing some similar issues ;-)

I decided to post here rather than the picture thread to limit the length of it, and reduce spacing between the picture posts. Can I recommend others do the same? Discussion here, pictures there?

Excellent idea otherwise the image thread will become a little unwieldy for sure.

Hopefully we'll be seeing some images from Ricnac (Helen) soon. :)

Nice work guys.
I added the image thread to the first post here if anyone is looking for it.

Getting excited the camera is only a few weeks away. It may even make it here for a quick weekend trip i have to Tasmania in a few weeks.
