UK Region RFF EuroMeet 2011, London

I really need to buy a new toy for this day. Or ON the day, who will help me? I know bugger all about what to buy.
 
What kind of toy Larky? Monopoly? Dildo?

I hadn't planned on going to any camera shops, although there is a stall selling old camera gear on Portobello Road. I think Michiel Fokkema has some stuff to sell too.

A friend gave me a nice looking olympus 35 dc which I am allowed to sell at a reasonable price.

If you want I'll bring it along.

There is a Rolleiflex GX for sale for a rather unreasonable price :D and a rolleiflex 6008 pro for a pittance (for a given value of pittance)
 
I know I shouldn't feed the troll but come on, these types always amaze me! I've rather enjoyed taking a quick squiz at the websites, galleries and on-line folios of some of the names on the list for this weekend. Apart from some of those whose pictures I've known about for ages there are plenty more that I'm intrigued to meet having ploughed through their sites. Perhaps he too was concerned about lugging a DSLR around and worried about feeling out of place.

Speaking of which, as I'm trying to cadge a bed on Sunday night ready for a job on Monday morning it looks like I may well be lugging some DSLR kit around with me...unless anyone knows of a safe and sound place to deposit it for a day. Otherwise I'd be able to offer Larky all sorts of juicy OM kit if he wants a new toy :D

If it was the SP I'd jump, looking for something fully manual if possible :) But thanks for noticing my request. :)

If you had an OM-3 I'd offer you a stay at mine, as long as you don't mind the burglars. :D
 
I want an RF, although an OM 4, hmm, always since I was 16 did I want an OM 4. If you tell me it's in black I may have a wee. What lenses.

Hm ... I'm thinking about it since I decided to come .. but that does not count as a post, right ?

All this talk about Olympus OM reminded me I should give them a work-out, but then, it's a rangefinder meeting ... Bringing two different systems seems a bit ridiculous (although ... maybe a Mamiya 6 ? It _is_ a rangefinder ...).

I have two Olympus SP. The one that looks best does NOT have a working spotmeter, but otherwise works fine. If you are interested, let me know and I'll bring it along.

It is indeed of the ninja variety, I can even include some black gaffer tape if need be. :cool:

In all seriousness, I am looking to shed myself of of my OM gear. Finances, practicality and simple shelf space require it.

Two 50mm, one of them is the MIJ jobbie
the delicious 85mm f2
135mm

Though I am going to have to lug my RF and work gear around on Sun/Mon so I'd rather not bring all this lot too.

Depends if my lady stops looking at me with eyes that are saying 'I'm going to stab you'. I think she was ok with the M2, but she's now getting a little annoyed.

So, is it Fri, Sat, Sun and now Mon too?
