Not quite right Nico, I won't be arriving in Pisa until Thursday afternoon. My flight is to land in Bologna at 11.45AM and then I need to make my way to Pisa (~2h by train).
 
Ok, looks like I'll be able to get to Florence sometime on Friday. Just trying to find a direct flight that gets in earlier than 22.55. Otherwise it looks like I'll be going for the Ryanair option and flying to Pisa just as everyone else leaves:mad:

Haven't sorted a place to stay yet, not until I know when and where I'll be landing, but will try the places Kully & Lawrence linked to first. Having to sort this via my phone as work is keeping me away from home...iPhones aren't the best way to find and book stuff!! :D

I'll post again when I know more... though if anyone knows of any good deals let me know!

I am glad to say that we (me and my girlfriend) will be in Florence for
that fantastic event!
We come from Bologna (100km from Florence, circa).

Not booked yet but I'm planning to fly into Pisa on the morning of the 9th and catch a train into Florence, hopefully arriving around noon. Flying out of Pisa at 18:45 on the 11th.

I'll sort bookings and accomodation when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for all the help Kully - my phone's battery is about to die so it was a great help!

I'll be about all day Monday -- my flight leaves from Florence airport @ 18:10 -- so any ideas are welcome!
 
Too bad I will be in Italy Mar 27- Apr 5. Some days in Florence and others at Lake Como, Milan, etc. I hope it is not too cold then. Would have preferred a later date, maybe May but I could not pass up the plane fares at a good price, Air France.

We will be at Hotel California, near the Duomo. Wish it would have been a later date and meet other RRF people. We intend one day to go to Fiesole. It offers a beautiful ride and and a wonderful restaurant when we went last year.

?!?!?! It's only about seven or eight weeks to go or something. I will look at flights this weekend. Probably to Pisa, then train/coach, errrrmmm. So I'm a "definite maybe", and I'll be happier this time 'cos my knee feels better, and I'll bring more film too.
