would you like placed in a new how to forum to help newbies fathom the intricacies of RFF ?
Things like posting, linking, avatars etc ?

1st post modified to be more exact.
I am not asking for ideas for threads,
rather suggestions for bringing together the help threads that already exist.

Some interesting threads for me
All right, now I got it
I start with my "important" threads I remeber and would like to find nicely grouped and with a correct title:
- Bessa R2/3/4x
-- Accessing the RF adjustment screws, adjusting the RF (with images)
- Printing
-- Postcard Printing Recommendations
- Hexar RF
-- Opening the top plate (with images)
-- Adjusting the RF (with images)
-- Adjusting the RF (with outline)
- Hexar AF
-- Opening the top plate, fixing the shutter button (with images)
- M-Mount Adapters
-- Hawk Peng: M to NEX E Adapter
-- Fuji: M to Fujix X Adapter
- Where to buy film
-- Cheap film in Germany
- Processing Software
-- GIMP and other Freeware Tools
- Optics and Lenses
-- Basic Filter Usage Information
-- RF accuracy charts
Is it something like this suggestions list you are looking for?

good threads,
but I am talking about working the mechanics of RFF for newbies
threads on the best way to post to the galleries, the best way to leave feedback, the best way to choose skins, link to flickr pics etc.
Thanks,
Stephen

I think it should be called Newbie forum: Everything you need to know about RFF.
And I think it would be very helpful.

For me ('cause I keep forgetting): a thread on how to copy photos from the Gallery into threads in the forums. This topic keeps coming up and I don't think I'm the only one who forgets how to do it.

I think a guide on the mechanics of RFF would be great.

Good point. We need a thread which points to and explains the exceptions in the menu system, depending on the skin you use! I had a hard time until I realized this mechanic, although I never understood the reason behind it

dysfunctional search function in RFF never helped finding anything. there are all sort of workarounds with google etc., but those instructions are just as buried into threads as everything else.
could you consider modify "search" link, so it points to page where google search can be done, like "site:rangefinderforum.com +'search content'". this could direct people into right way, and find what they need, without starting new thread every time.

Feedback is important for our classified system to work, but it is very hard to figure out how to leave feedback.
Take the best "how to leave feedback" thread and feature this visibly on the Classifieds home page.
Thanks, Stephen, for RFF!

1)Why do we have to wait for 30 seconds inbetween two searches on RFF? Could it be modified for a lesser amount of time, say 10 secs?
2) an explanation thread about starting a personal gallery on RFF would be appreciated.
Thanks Steven for a brilliant forum, RFF rocks !
cheers
Jean-Marc.
