I know it isn't even Christmas yet but I've already started thinking about my photographic new years resolution. At this time of year we should all look forward and what better way than posting a resolution that will make RFF an even better place to visit in the coming year.

My personal resolution is to upload more photos to the gallery and to encourage others by commenting constructively on their work. I also want to get my photography back to a level I can really proud of - I know I have it in me and I don't want cheat myself by never fulfilling my potential.

So please give some thought to your photography in 2006 and post your resolution here

I just want to complete my "class" at the NYIP. During the last 12 months I was really a bit lazy and did not do much regarding this goal 🙁 This should be enough because I have some projects to complete for that.
Perhaps this helps me to work a tad more purposive and improve my skills.

Cheers

I want to shoot more with MF film, aka my Hasselblad. (No I am not putting the rf stuff away.)

I'd like to do this as well but I also like Pedro's resolutions 🙂

I personally would like to stick to a regular PAW - I always seem to "start" one but never "finish" one throughout the year.

This coming year must be different.

🙂

My resolution is to take the photos I like all the way to final form. That is, matted, framed, signed. I have too many photos that sit in storage that are printed but not spotted, or not matted, etc etc. Enjoying the process is wonderful, but sometimes I feel I don't have a whole lot to show for it.

I'll go along with Pedro.

I've decided, come the new year, to limit the gear and materials I use. So for the first three months at least, I'll be shooting:

M6TTL
50 f2
Ilford Delta 400 (but anywhere between 200 and 1600)

and printing on Ilford MGIV only.

Of course, I've never kept a new year's resolution yet 🙂

Wish me luck.

Mark

I'm not much for resolutions really. The few thing I've promised myself are to get a 15mm for the R-D1 (and only that!), to finish at least 2 of the book projects I'm working on, and to work harder and more focused on the 3rd project, which would involve at least another 2 trips to Mongolia, a first year course in anthropology Ifinishing that degree would then become resolutions for 2007-2009) and developing my writing skills.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for those writing skills? 😛

Resolutions for current gear:

1. More 'Blad
2. More Rollei
3. Lotsa Leica
4. Plenty Nikon

Other resolutions:

1. Start a PAW
2. TUMS for GAS (Terminally Urgent Money Shortage...)

Hmmm... let's see...
  1. Shoot more B&W
  2. Sell or trade off the gear I'm not using; ideally I'd like to get my inventory down to my Bessa, my digital, my TLRs, and maybe a MF SLR
  3. Lose weight 😀
