RFF New Year's Resolutions

I'm going to ditch all my film camera gear and go all-digital in the new year. It is the wave of the future, and film is dead. Just going to give my stuff away on Pnet, not here, I wouldn't want to burden anyone at RFF with this dead-end gear. Time to move on.
Blasphemer!! FrankS is going back on my Ignore List. Now there's two members on it. FrankS -------- and me. 😀

Resolutions:
1. Shoot more.
2. Stop calling my wife "Comrade."
3. Stop sleeping in the garage.
4. Stay away from the Bay.
5. uhhh............. oh yeah, Shoot more.

if i had the guts i would...

delete ebay from my bookmarks and not go there for at least one year.

limit my time on this forum - would have to quit as moderator.

shoot at least 3 rolls of film a week, develop all 3, scan all 3, print at least one shot from each roll.

not buy any photo equipment all year

buy only film - hp5 and ddx - that's it - for the year.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
what i will sincerely work on is...

to combine better discipline with increased motivation and better follow through...

Frank, I can lend you Nikki's Kodak DC120. It's a 1MPixel and has a 3x zoom.

She prefers the Polaroid. Just ask her "Do you want the camera with the Little TV in the back, or do you want the camera that goes PPPPHHHHFFFTTT and there it is."

Is there still room for humour here? 🙂

I think I just had a stroke..... 😀

Never buy a vintage Hammond organ and then let some dope buy it at no profit to you and then call you this afternoon and say he had car trouble and can't pick it up until 8PM when it's dark and cold and you haven't even had a shower yet today. Hypothetically speaking.

Alright -- I'm abandoning my earlier resolutions and I'm going to go with this one!!! 😀 😀 😀

Get my pristine 105 from the other Frank who has a sky at the end. 🙄

1. Shoot, develop, and scan at least two rolls per week.
2. Make at least one print per week.
3. Learn to shoot without a meter.
4. Shoot at least one roll of MF per month (to begin with).

1. Develop my own film (I now have rolls in double figures waiting 🙄 )
2. Not buy any more Leica bodies
3. Try different film than Fuji
4. Learn how to use Viewscan properly

I'm not one to make resolutions because I rarely keep them, but...
1. Increase percentage of good photos on each roll.
2. Limit my film and developer choices/selections
3. listen more and talk less.
4. Go digital 100%
Only the first three are valid.

I'm like zpuskas; I don't do new years resolutions because I dont' keep them. But of what I would like to accomplish, the most important are:

1. Test two film/developer combinations to nail standard techniques for them.
2. Shoot more without relying on a meter.
3. Shoot more
4. Print, mat and frame about a print a month

Get this: I find out today (after the sheriff arrives with a summons) that the guy who originally bought the organ and stood me up picking it up . . . ta DA! . . . is SUING me! He wants $1000 for a $50 organ--which I already sold to some local guy.

Sorry to read of your trouble with this, but I must thank you: to date I believe this is the only resolution I have ever kept (as of 1/26/06 I have not bought or sold a Hammond organ)...best of luck with this situation.
