I like many of the designs here purely from a design standpoint, but I think the thing that many are missing is a sense of the scale. Try shrinking them down on your computer screen to the "actual size" of a soft release and you'll see what I mean. When these are posted for voting, the "nominees" should be shown in 1:1 scale.
Mine was designed with the 15mm limitation in mind.

Shown at scale size, or 15mm. Might make that last F solid....

what diameters are we talking about? how thin a line is printable? how small can the text be?

Truth is beauty
If the softie is planned as a secret handshake, RFF is enough, but if it can be informative and inviting to others too, rangefinderforum.com should be there... Maybe with an upper arch "rangefinder", and below, completing a circle, "forum.com", with or without the RFF in the center, depending on engraving possibilities...

For me rf is the modernist way. So, dark gray/silver + Josef Müller-Brockmann style.View attachment 76459
Very interesting design - I like how the top opening of the two F's looks like the two windows of a rangefinder.

Curious
Is there enough interest to enable production of a run of regular and a run of mini's?

I am honored to know that one of my Softies is at the bottom of the Nile. Much better than watching one rolling into a street drain!
It probably landed right next to a Nikon RF hood.

I like the aperature design, but thought I'd offer an alternate. Sort of a rangefinder window with frame lines. Best I could do to draw it up given I did it in Word. Just a thought.![]()
The RFF softie has already been produced.

I would take several of these...love the font idea .. very classy looking too. Here's a 5-minute mock-up, the idea here is no lower/uppercase mix on the F's, serif font as opposed to the bold san serifs. I realize it's subtle.
