Just to raise a flag that it seems increasingly difficult to access this forum from the UK .Attempts are often met with an error message and even when functional loading is painful , at best .

I've had the message many times here in California. I just figured it was hackers trying out ransomware.

But another one is when posting the circle just keeps spinning.

Same here. I blamed local conditions at first but it is happening too often and is very annoying.

Last night it became stuck so I just dumped the browser to get out of it. Happens every so often, but after seeing the news about all the ransomware attacks I can see where some servers may have gone into safe mode. Still, it happens a lot on this site, maybe just IT maintenance going on.

notifications don't work, the classifieds are problematic as outlined months ago, database access seems overloaded pretty often, site needs someone with experience to attend to these issues. old software too (version 3.6.8 is 14 years old now.)

I had terrible connection problems a few days ago and I deduced it was the same for others because the post count dropped to almost nothing overnight (Sydney night). I was bereft each morning with nothing to read and thought for a while that members had absconded en masse.
Lately though it's been perfectly fine, apart from the ongoing classifieds issues of being logged out and not being able to save my preferred pale grey colour scheme.

I've have had no major problems. I think the Classified ads may have had problems with the Safari browser, but otherwise things have been fairly smooth lately (I'm in California however, likely close to the server).

Ditto in Vietnam. Repeated error messages.

Probably a DOS attack. They happen every now and then. Beats me why someone would target RFF though...

Once in a while I am unable to access RFF. Minutes later it may be OK again.

No more issues than a normal day... but then again it's 10:30 PM in California, 4:30 AM in London, and middle of the afternoon here in Japan. No complaints about access at the moment.

Problems daily here too (UK mostly daytime). Will send a screen grab of error message when it next happens.

When posting it hangs after post sent and when re-posted thinking it hadn't happened it says that it has already been posted. Turns out the first had made it. (Apols, poorly explained!)

This problem has been going on for months for me on the east coast but lately hasn't been too bad. I wait awhile and go on to other things and retry until I get reconnected.

Similar problems here (Italy) in the last two weeks. Now it seems to be ok apart no more notifications, crossing fingers.

Yep it refuses to load for me a few times a week. Generally works again after an hour or two.

I always get the same error page saying the issue is with the host server (or something to that effect).

That`s what I get too.

I`d never considered cyber attacks but then I`m not up to speed on stuff like that .
