Hi all, don't know if I'm in the right place.
I am long sighted but with my Nikon slr's correction adjustment is built in.
I have a Zorki 6 which has the same.
If I remember correctly - it is 50 years ago, the Werras have adjustable eyepieces.
I have been looking for a 35mm Japanese 70's rangefinder and wonder if there are any, preferably a compact one that has this facility built in.
Hope someone can offer some info.
Thanks in advance,
Geoff

Yes, the Werra does have adjustable relief, god bless it. I love that in my III. Some of the Barnacks have a magnifier that functions well enough as a diopter for my -3 eyeight that I can shoot a 50mm lens without my glasses unless focus/aperture are really critical.

Jim Williams is quoted on Karen Nakamura's PhotoEthnography site that the Canon VI has a "strong negative diopter." I never owned a VI, and no longer have my P, so I can't confirm anything there. Maybe you should repost your query on the Canon RF forum for better advice there?

Here's another RFF thread about Fuji 690s and diopters: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112571

Thanks all,
Seems I am going to be out of luck with regards to Canonet, Konica, Minolta and Yashicas then. May have to stick to FSR and German cameras, or see if my optician can come up with anything.
Best wishes,
Geoff

or see if my optician can come up with anything.

If your camera has something like a rubber eyecap that screws in you have a chance going that way. Had one made for my Kiev60 tht way, it even corrects for my astigmatism.

I support going to the optician. Those with fabrication workshops can come up with some neat solutions to eyeglasses problems, so why not an improvised diopter or dioptric VF? If you have access to a longtime camera store, there may be one of those rummage boxes full of odd bits where you'll find the all you need except the dioptric glass (or plastic).
