This isnt even from Friday these are from Thursday night right as Walmart started the sales at 8:00pm. Sales have started earlier and earlier every year. I also went to Target at 9:00 the line was around the block I didn't make it inside. And the line at best buy and the mall was also super long they opened at midnight. I was tired so I didn't stick around to see the rush.
Black Friday is a America phenomenon the day after the Thanksgiving holiday.
From those pictures it looks like some unfortunate relatives are all going to get the same present for Christmas.

More experiments with colour from my New York trip. My trip was delayed due to Sandy, when I arrived the following week we took two shots at the runway as there was an intense blizzard which left the city in a total white-out. The snow cleared in a day or two and then the sun lit the streets like I've never seen on this side of the Atlantic – I'm a native Londoner. I knew that this trip had to be shot in colour, this was the first time I've used the GRD in this way.
I'm working hard to replace my lost/stolen GRD. I considered all sorts of other options; I've been carying my Olympus Stylus with Superia for the last week but film doesn't give me the freedom to take risks with my photos; I tried walking with my DSLR for a few days but the shutter noise and size of the thing restrained me; I've been umming and arring over the x100 or replacing all my cameras with an XE1, but none of these cameras are quite the same as a GRD. Reviewing my New York photos has reminded me that I must have a GRD in my life again.
The size, the handling and most importantly, the ability to shoot at wide apertures with a large depth of field make this camera perfect for me.

I like the variation of shots shown on this page - a few quite different from the often seen "GRD look images" … shows, how versatile this little fixed 28 camera really is.
