I still prefer glorious black and white. But it is nice to revel in other friends' color-fun.
One can also see in Zeno's grab how much consumer happiness depends on being in the presence of an entire spectrum. Do I want the pink shampoo or the yellow shampoo...? I want the rainbow shampoo!

Yes, to live in a city with cobblestone streets to catch the contrasts of light and shadow! Zeno, I'll have to try to get some interesting shots of the basalt columns here. We have uninteresting streets, but living in a volcanic landscape does present a few opportunities for light/dark in stone patterns.

Thank you, shadowfox and Robert; granite and marble are the stones where I live. Sometimes I don´t even see the stone anymore!

Great use of light Wouter! Dramatic and beautiful! The second shot with woman's silhouette in door is especially nice!

Welcome Wouter! and a festive, restorative Christmas Eve and day to all GRD shooters in this thread.
Earlier I took a short flight up the Columbia River with Santa. He's trying out a new turbojet delivery system in Cascadia:
Anyway, at this time of year when the light begins to return, I think of Tiny Tim who said, GRD bless us, every one. I mean, the ghost of Tiny Tim--not the little cripple, but the one who looked like Alice Cooper, played the ukelele, and had a scary falsetto. At least that's what he said in my dreams last night.
It's a long, long road / from which there is no return
While we're on the way / to there / why not share?
