Ricoh GR-D (I,II,III,IV): Post your photos!

good for you posting your preference Johnwolf!!! At the moment, I'm into the high contrast but that will change :)
I think the Ricoh looks like it is capable of producing some quality "zone" B&W ;)

Getting my GRD III on Tuesday and will compare to with my D-Lux 5, loser (usability / image quality) gets re-posted on ebay…

VIC225 those are RAW files. I used the flash for most of the photos, the bartender and last one have no flash. I use photoshop to convert to black and white, do black and white adjustments until I feel it is right. Then finally adjust the levels a bit. I try to make them look like how I would print it in a dark room.

You probably weren't looking for a long explanation.

cool! thanks for the explanation! its just i read so much the grd is good in jpeg for bw but seems like the best shots are still from raw =) sometimes im just too lazy to use lightroom... and iphoto isnt that good lol

Quick tech question. Just go an IV and every time I turn it on it's asking me to set the date and time. Any way to make this stop or do I have a camera with an issue?

Haven't posted here in a while. So I managed to see the Klein + Moriyama show at the Tate before it closed yesterday, I prefer Klein visually but I really admire Moriyama's cohesiveness as an artist, much darker and less playful than Klein... Anyway, both had quite an influence on me after I left:

Love them! grd iv? raw? jpeg? :D

Thanks guys! Bruno, they were shot on a GRDIII in RAW, processed in Lightroom. Quite glad I brought it along since my F3HP's batteries died on me!

Good eye on spotting the patterns in the shots posted above, lcpr!

Well Done!!

Nice PP! No Silver Efex? oh! Do You make big prints? I mean... A4 at least..

I do use Silver Efex from time to time, not with this particular set though. As for prints, the GRDIII files are fine when used for 10x8s, I could probably squeeze much larger (30x20) prints out of them easily, super high quality isn't my biggest concern when I add that much grain in post! The files look great on my 15" retina MacBook Pro which runs at 220ppi so that should be some indication on how well the files will print.

Thanks shadowfox!
