Robert, superb shots, loving the contrast and those deep blacks. Like the first one.

Is it just me or the quality of photos in this thread keeps improving?

Let's believe it's both, Will. Certainly this is a thread (in addition to the camera) where the images and the imaginations challenge all the participants to refine their vision and technique.
Flying cross-country to a family funeral today. So I will feature the black hat.

(oh how the bleach bypass brings out the schmutz on the hat..!)

Man I really like the bleach bypass filter. Almost tempted to sell my III and get a IV because of it but seems too frivolous especially with the V coming out sometime soonish...

Really enjoying this camera...! I may need to try the original film version soon...
Here are a few from the GRD IV taken in the last few days. I was trying out the Hi-Contrast B&W mode just for fun although I still prefer the standard out of camera RAW pics.

The film version is even better- less lens distortion, shallower depth of field, better interface, smaller, lighter, and full frame! It does high contrast raw with Tri-X and the Rodinal plug in.

Although taken with the GRD4, this was without a doubt one of the saddest this I've had to witness. My friend and neighbor lost his home tonight to a fire which swept across three houses. Thankfully there were no casualties.
His backyard faced directly across from mine.
My heart goes out to him and his family.
