Last time for these photos!

As of this afternoon, this photo opportunity won't be available to the general public again. Our old, earthquake damaged, Oakland Bay Bridge (eastern span) is being replaced by an elegant new bridge. The old bridge will be closed this evening at 8pm. Next Tuesday at 5am, we'll be greeted by a brand spanking new bridge! And it only cost us a smidgen more than... (cough)... Six BILLION!!! dollars. Whew! Oh well, we would probably wasted that money on public education or something. :eek:

Anyway, here are some pictures I made yesterday. The last two images are taken from the existing bridge. This viewpoint will no longer be available to the general public as of tonight!

New Oakland Bay Bridge, eastern span (X-Pro1 with CV 28/1.9). The old bridge in the background will be demolished over the next three years (scrap iron anyone?)
