Hi!
I have been shooting film for the last three years. When i decided to start shooting digital again there was so many choices. I wanted a small camera with a viewfinder. I first tried the Fuji X100s, did not like it at all! I think it's real ugly if i may say so (it is time for the hipster era to die!)
. I returned it and ordered the Ricoh GR. I love it! I use it with a external viewfinder. Snap focus, F/11, ISO 3200 and then i turn off the LCD and shoot. I don't look at my pictures in the camera, i treat it as a film camera.
Here are some photos from the first 2 weeks!
sorry for my bad english. The time is 3 am here, no one should write something on the internet so late at night!

Your English is atrocious... however your shooting style with the GR and VF is right on target.
Do you know Mattias Ericsson ?

Nice photos for sure. Glad you have found a camera you like. As to your English, I wish I still had the command of the other languages I used to speak that you have of English. But it doesn't matter how well you spoke or didn't speak, if you don't use a language for 40 or more years, you lose most of it.
You are doing fine in both English and photography. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos.

Yes, great camera with a wonderful lineage. I started with a GRDIII which, at the time, seemed as though it could do anything--as though I were Prospero and it were Ariel perforing my every whim.
Shoot through a windshield at 60mph ISO 64? Sure.
Document the afterlife of kitsch in badly lighted thrift stores at ISO 1600 f1.9? Why not?
Now I have the GR, and although it's not my only digital companion, I could do far worse if given a one-camera restriction. Its capabilities are more than equal to the whims and diversities of my vision.
I hope this testimonial helps. The more you ask of the GR, the more it can do.

I'm so glad I discovered this camera! Its one of my fav digital cameras I've used its just so well designed and you can customize really easily I have it in my jacket pocket with me all the time.. Snap focus is beautiful, all the controls are in a good spot.. I do wish it was full frame, but the image quality is excellent hanging with my M9 and D800E..

It (the whole series) is a special camera. Often when I pick up another camera and I start thinking about why something doesn't work the way I thought, I realize it was something that I had programmed into one of my Ricohs. Love them all.
