I nearly always used ISO 800 with the original GRD, and since I love some noise/grain, I think I will enjoy this camera quite a bit! Self-portrait at ISO 12800, f/2.8, noise reduction off. I opened it with Camera Raw and used the channel mixer in Photoshop, no other post-processing:

Wonderful self-portrait, Anders -- both content and finishing. Glad you kept the curtain on the right.

Had a chance to play with a gr today. A bit thicker than I thought it would be in real life. Still thin enough though. Focus is pretty fast. Shot some in store w/ 35 crop mode. Will not have chance to look at shots until tomorrow.

Oh boy...now I did it. Merry Christmas to me, I pulled the trigger and bought a GR.
Hope my M9 doesn't gather any dust

I look forward to seeing how they cohabitate. If you're a wide shooter, this could be a problem. But a GR and M9 with a 50 sounds pretty sweet to me.

First couple of Ricoh GR shots the way I like my compact camera photos to look...
(By the way, the RAW files have plenty of headroom for post- )

Ice on barbed wire:
Just an observation...now I know why Ricoh GR series is so popular...they handle great!

In case anyone is on the fence because of price, Amazon.com in the U.S. is selling the Ricoh GR for $696.95 now, $48 less than a week ago when I bought it (yes, they refunded the difference to me...love Amazon!).

I started with the III, still have my IV (with the 21mm goggle affixed), and am glad to have the GR with its 35 crop tweakability:
