Just picked up a Ricoh GR1 and ran a roll of Ilford XP2 thought it.
So, I thought I'd share a few shots (inner workings of a car dealership) :D

Yes, I got one, a GR1s. Or rather in a few days as it's in the mail right now. It has been sitting on a shelf most of it's life according to the seller and only seen about 30 rolls of film. Hope it 's in good shape. And the price was very good.

I hope to contribute to the thread in a few weeks.

I'm sure the results would have come out a lot better on a scanner actually meant for dealing with film.

That's the only way John, except from DX stickers on the film canister.
The GR1v allows to set the ISO manually.

I have a simple question ...

If we only use snap focusing ...
turn off any AF...

is the AF assist light still blinking / ON?

since I read, we cant turn off the af assist light

lets say, we cover the AF light with Black tape, set it fully on snap focusing all the times...
Can GR1 still have the focus in the determined snap distance without the af assist light (taped) ??
