So, I need some opinions on this thing that's been on my mind for a couple of days now.
On one of my (not so regular any more) visits to my local lab to get a roll of Tri-X, I looked at the second hand cameras for sale and saw this beautiful black Ricoh GR1v on display and on sale for a mere 80 €... I already own a silver GR1s with LCD screen problems, so I naturally wanted to know more about that GR1v. They said they offer no warranty on that camera. I asked if it's working and they said yes. They showed me that the LCD screen was fine and the focusing seemed to be working ok, too. I didn't want to ask why the low price, but I asked if we could shoot a test with a 12 exposure film there and then, and I would be happy to pay for film and development, but their developing machine operates only on Thursdays. So I now have to wait until Thursday/Friday to make sure that the focusing works fine. He said that he would keep it aside for me, but I doubt that if someone comes in and wants to buy it that they will say no.
In your opinion, is it a bargain or something to be cautious about? 80 Euros for a working GR1v (black)!
I am tempted to run back in to the shop and just grab it, before anyone else does...
