Hi,
I seem to have a problem with my focusing on my GR1s. I use it on AF but it occasionally gives me blurred subjects if I seem to be too close. I found online that the focusing range starts at 0.35m - I was never that close when I took my pictures.
Usually the AF seems to work correctly, but it messed up some of my portraits. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
Can anyone help with this one, please?
Thanks

Does the display in the viewfinder show the right settings? (macro symbol is on, parallax lines are there, the AF point isn't blinking, etc).
Also, I find that focusing on vertical lines helps with focus. When it comes to portraits I just aim the AF point at the edge of the person's face then readjust back to the center to take the shot. My GR1s hasn't given me an issue thus far...

The macro symbol never shows up; I was trying to make it do exactly that, but it didn't happen. Seems like it's working fine otherwise, but if I'm too close it prefers to focus on the background. And I never went as close as 0.35m
Should I be worried? To get the macro symbol (it's the flower, right?) to appear, do I need to select the spot meter-AF symbol (the dot inside the rectangle) and then press halfway down to something very close up?
