Not so keen on the white edition though.
Don't forget the blue/gold limited Edition GRD-II!
I really like the white one... guess I'm alone? 😉
Ricoh's official samples look no better than the GRD III, and of course, no high ISO samples. NEX 5 is a better option by far

Maybe a better option for you, but, if one wants a small sensor camera with a huge DOF for street photography, then the GRD IV is the better option — apart from the fact that the two cameras are aimed at completely different markets.Ricoh's official samples look no better than the GRD III, and of course, no high ISO samples. Whaaa...?
Is that what they get from the Pentax merge? more colors...???? 😱😱😱
IQ wise, the Olympus E-PM3/E-PL3 , Panasonic GF1/2/3 etc. etc. would all be better options for most.
The GRD series differentiates itself in many other little ways.

Rainy Season
I realized one more issue (or more precisely, tradition) that the GRD cameras haven't addressed yet: sensor dust.
My GRD III developed two large dust specks in the past two years. Reports of dust getting into brand new GRDs after one week of normal use are not uncommon. Hope they've got better sealing this time.
