If the GRII would get IS like the Olympus has in their E-M5II than it would definitely be worth it as would be some sort of weather sealing.

All I would care to see is dust/weather sealing. The GR/GX series are notorious for letting dust get in.

Ditto. I happened to have a few extra cables from old Fuji and Sennheiser headphones using same plug, but regular micro USB would be great. (or maybe going USB C??)
My fantasy GR would be
• Monochrome sensor with uber good highlight preservation. (I said "fantasy"!)
• 21mm and 40mm converters and filter system without adapter tube a la GR1v.
• Drop mode dial, replace it with aperture and/or exp comp dial.
Call it GRv.

I'd love to see Wi-Fi, Stabilization, and better video.
Sure, most GR users rarely shoot video, but why not make it good? The sensor can certainly do it, and the current video mode is terrible.
A touchscreen would be useful even if its only for quick selection of AF point.

-Video would be great but 28mm is very limiting. Unless they do 35mm 🙂.
-Stabilization would be awesome but I doubt there is any space left in there, especially after they implement the OVF 😀 .

Ditto. And better lowlight AF.
I'm not looking for a larger sensor; when I use the GR I generally need/want the depth of field from the 18mm lens. I have other cameras for shallow focus, and I don't make that many really large prints.

I am guessing the tilt LCD will increase the depth of the camera body.
As much as I liked the GR, I doubt I will spend again the same amount of money for an updated sensor and a tilt screen.
Same lens. Great optical quality, but 2.8 is limiting and no OIS.
No MF ring. How many are actually using the lens adapter vs a potential MF ring with preset distances? Snap focus is a great idea but it gave me too many blurred shots when trying to use it.
I just hope the have a lower starting price for the sake of the camera, cause $800 is too much for too many.

I find naming confusing ebcause GRDII already have been released. Probably introducing index to distinct APS-C models from small sensor models would be not bad idea.

I wonder if the "slightly humped" top means a socket for a pluggable EVF? How about a poppable EVF à la RX100 Mk.III???

Hmmm. Not a big fan of that hump aesthetically but I guess we just have to wait and see.
I really don't want articulated screen that will make the camera thicker. If that's a part of EVF implementation, then that's great.

I think the new GRII will have a selfie screen and wifi. I'd really love it to have a 23mm lens (35mm equivalent on APS-C).
I adore my GR, but I find myself reaching for my much-maligned EOS-M lately, because it's compact and has a 22mm f2 lens. It's my digital Contax T3, but I wish it had a popup flash.

I can't see the bother, financially or technically, why a manufacturer would do this to a well-established line ... unless it is a substantial enough of a change ... (ie) socketable EVF is my bet. RICOH has had at least two variants already, why not an improved (OLED?) third version?
