They have the m mount: http://www.henrys.com/70728-RICOH-GXR-M-MOUNT-A12.aspx and it's also half off. Looks like the body is out of stock online but the m mount is still in stock at a great price. If they had the EVF in stock it would have probably been half off too. And thankfully they didn't as I probably would have bought the set!
-->Thanks for the correction! If anyone has a GXR without the M, don't hesitate. There is a wealth of adapters, not just ltm->M. (I just got a Konica->M to mount my 57/1.4 on the GXR....)

I shouldn't look at posts like this....GXR with S10 and M mount A12, ordered...

I would love to buy these immediately. But being from Germany, it's almost impossible to order from Canada.

I'm tempted to get a second one at that price![]()
Get one set for me and I'll pay through paypal...
It was hard to pass up the m module and body for less than $500 shipped, but I did pass it up. It feels good not to have succumbed to GAS.

Darn good price on a darn good camera.
The GXR + A12 Camera Mount + EVF or OVF makes a superb body for M-mount lenses. $600 or so ... I would be tempted to buy another if I didn't already have the M9.
And if I hadn't just spent a bunch of money on the Coolscan 9000 ... ! :-0

Same here. I was sorely tempted but I resisted! I didn't really find my nex 5n kit lacking as digital back for leica lenses so I decided to save some $$

Randy, here's Ricoh's list of (in)compatibles. They feature a shot from the 21 SA btw.

Johan, were you able to use the 21 SA on the Ricoh? Do you know if the 50 DR Summicron works as well?

To be precise, it's just a list of known compatible/incompatible lenses they've tested with. There are tons more lenses available to use, Ricoh certainly doesn't have access to all of them.
The A12 Camera Mount comes with a jig to check a lens for mechanical interference. That's the best way to determine whether a particular lens fits without problems.

The kits are still available and with the body+p10 kit being $174 cnd (versus $125 for the body only), it's still a pretty good offer for some days when you just don't need the m module.

Hi Randy,
as mentioned above (I saw your question only just now, sorry), the Super-Angulon works fine. I used mine on the M-mount until very recently and it had the 'standard' rear collar, not the CL and M5-modified collar.
I suspect the Summicron-DR to be fine too, there is no light baffle in the GXR M-Mount that could interfere with it.

Did Ricoh make any kind of viewfinder for the zoom lenses. I owned a GRDII for about a year and have regretted it ever since I sold it. This is a great deal and I am very tempted to get the body+p10. Does anyone know about a viewfinder for this lens?

Rick,
the GXR has an electronic viewfinder, the viewfinder has a small LCD screen inside and shows the view through the lens. I use this VF-2 type viewfinder (the VF-1 doesn't fit the GXR!) on my camera with the M-Mount unit and can see through my M39 screw mount lenses while shooting them

Thanks for the info.
Good grief, I just purchased a new Pana/Leica 25 1.4 lens for my GX-1, last week. If I buy another camera system, my wife will divorce me after almost 40 years of marriage.....at least that is what she tells me every time I get something new. Cause I know how this will go- once I get the camera, I will need the viewfinder, then the 28mm lens looks very enticing, and on and on it goes.
Oh well, it is never too late to be single again, I guess......
Like I mentioned before, I owned a GRDII for about a year. I purchased it specifically for a project and it turned out to be one of the best street cameras I have ever owned.

Technically, if you already have even a single Leica M39 or M lens, you're not getting into a new system when you buy the GXR M-mount unit with it...

Here's a picture of the Ricoh GXR fitted with M-mount camera unit, VF-2 EVF, Nikon F to M-Mount adapter, and Micro-Nikkor 200mm f/4 AI-S ED-IF lens:
(It's a bit more tele than I really use, so I've sold this lens but kept the Nikon 105/2.8 Micro AF-D...)

Godfrey,
that is a cool set-up, haha!
I've purchased myself a Kipon adapter from Nikon-F to Leica-M and use that to mount a Nikkor-S 1.4/58mm to my M-Mount unit! Gets me a perfect 85mm 1.4 lens, manually focused and low contrast!
Is it (a bit) bulky? Yes! Can it be shot hand-held? Sure, no doubt!
Oh, and I have a 2.5/105mm pre-AI Nikkor-P for it too, as well as two Tamron Adaptall zoom lenses, a 24-48mm and a 35-80mm
