Chillin' in Geneva
I travelled through Japan last week a Ricoh GXR and Epson R-D1 and three lenses: ZM28/2.8, CV40/1.4 and ZM50/2.
Generally I had the most fun with the R-D1 and loved the effortlessly good JPEGs. The Ricoh is far more capable, however, and I reached for that when the light got low at the Fire Festival in the mountain village of Kurama, outside Kyoto. Here's three shots from that sequence. Noise reduction is off, ISO is likely around 3200. I processed these on an Ipad with Snapseed...great little app.

Great shots - thanks for sharing. I missed the Kurama fire festival during a recent trip. Last time I saw it was 15 years ago... It remains one of my great memories of Japan.
