And just for anyone searching on R1 and finding this thread; the film is wound out of the cassette as soon as it's loaded and then runs back into the cassette as each shot is taken.
What that means is the first shot taken is the one that's cut to get the film off of the spool when D&P'd. So be warned that you get a cut frame and just waste the first one.
